Elisabeth Strömberg - Editor-in-Chief
Elisabeth Strömberg works at the Department of Zoology,
Göteborg University.
She recently retired as a senior teacher at a
secondary school in Uddevalla.
She was a member of the
'European Initiative Biotechnology Education' (EIBE),
the Swedish National Committee for Biology of the Royal Swedish Academy
oc Science, and the board of the teaching section of the
Swedish Chemical Society.
She has conducted courses in practical biology and biotechnology for
in-service teachers, aimed at
practical biotechnology, often i collaboration with the
'National Centre for Biotechnology Education' (NCBE)
at the
Universitety of Reading,
and she has contributed to the development of course curriculum for
biotechnology for the Swedish secondary school. In the year 2000 she was
awarded the Ingvar Lindqvist-prize, from the
Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences. |

Margareta Wallin -
Assistant Editor
Margareta Wallin is professor of
zoophysiology
at
Göteborg University,
with a special interest in cellular and molecular biology.
She is Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Göteborg University and responsible for
the external relations of the University.
Margareta served as Vice Dean of the Science Faculty, with the
responsibility for education of undergraduate students in natural
sciences as well as the external relations of the faculty. Margareta is
board member of Universeum,
the
Science Center of Göteborg. She has given numerous popular science
lectures, and was awarded a team-prize in pedagogics. |

Malin Celander
is
professor
of
zoophysiology
at
Göteborg University,
and is particularly interested in environmental toxins, pharmaceuticals
and hormones and their effects on fish. She was trained in chemistry,
got her Ph.D. in zoophysiology and works primarily with methods from
molecular biology in her research. She is chairperson in the committee
for the "Marine Environment" at
Formas - The Swedish Research
Council for Environment, Agricultural Sciences and Spatial Planning. She
is also the coordinator for the
Pharmacist
Program of Göteborg University and has been Director of Studies
for the Bioscience
Research School in Göteborg during 2004/05. |

Stefan Nilsson is professor of zoophysiology at Göteborg University, with a special interest in neurobiology. These days, he keeps himself busy with a number of external activities, such as Nordens Ark in Bohuslän, the aquarium (Marinarium) of the Maritime Museum of Göteborg, and the Students Union as "Inspector". Stefan is well known from the Swedish radio programme 'Alltinget' where he answers listener's questions in biology. He was a awarded a team-prize in pedagogics at Göteborg University. |
