Resource and equipment reviews
These will generally be requested by the Editor or Associate Editors, and reviewers will be provided with a copy of the equipment or resource. Reviews should be submitted as text and the description and evaluation must not exceed 500 words in length. The reviews will be entered onto a database on the Bioscience Explained Web site, which has the following fields, some or all of which may be appropriate:
- Title of resource;
- Type of resource: book, computer software, multimedia (e.g., CD-ROM or DVD), video recording, laboratory apparatus;
- Author(s);
- Date of publication;
- ISBN;
- Intended audience;
- Description;
- Evaluation;
- Publisher/Supplier (address, telephone and fax numbers (including country code), web site);
- Requirements and format (e.g., for computer software or video recordings);
- Price (including currency).
Where appropriate, an illustration of the materials/resources can be submitted. Details of the data format for illustations are given in the General guidance.
